Sphaerae is an inflatable multi-dome pavilion for immersive and syneasthetic experiences. Sphaerae can touch down on uncharted territories making temporary ecosystems with fragile and complex atmospheric conditions as an instrument to explore the phenomena of light, sound and movement.

Sphaerae is designed by Cocky Eek with the technical support of Theun Karelse. The Sphaerae performance program is curated in collaboration with Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand of Synergetica Studiolab. Based on the work of Christopher Alexander, Cocky Eek developed a pattern-language which can be used for inflatable architecture. This study resulted in the design of a lightweight pavilion, inspired on the clustering of soap bubbles, built up from five semi-transparant domes.
